a compilation of music I had been working on that I lost during an OS reinstall.

Tracks 1 to 18 were from before this happened and were the bones of what I had hoped to be my next album. Most of these were produced within 2020 and had no final names. These tracks are more or less complete, though there is no connective tissue.

Tracks 19 to 98 are dated chronologically and are assembled from previous exports and may have been expanded upon afterwards in their original project files. These files range from 2016 to 2021. Most of the works after 2019 have no working backups thanks to my backup drive having failed simultaneously with my OS (unsure if the two are related), and have been permenantly lost aside from the audio files rendered from them. Many of these are very short and unfinished, and having them in chronological order helps convey how I grew with my compositional & production techniques as well as where my mental state was going. Feel free to shuffle around and see if there's something there that you like.

The loss of thousands of hours of work put into these has been nothing short of heartbreaking, but I hope that having it finally be out there in some capacity will allow what I made to be appreciated and not forgotten, and that perhaps it can connect with others after having been left to rot in my head and hard drive until its horrible demise.

It would mean a lot to me if you liked anything on here, and if you'd like to leave any kind words or share it with others, I'd be elated and relieved beyond belief to know all this wasn't a massive waste of time. I may have to take a break from music production for a while after all of this, but it's one of the few things that I feel I can actually express myself with, and I'd really like to return to it on a more professional capacity..

Exquisite. Coolest experience with this album Ive had so far is accidentally playing Her Library over the top of Her Foyer by an 8 second delay or so and listening to them like that. They build up together beautifully and give the other time to shine, with Her Foyer ending a minute or so early and giving Her Library, which was moreso the background for most of it, time to shine and wrap things up. It's really lovely to encounter music that can be held in such good conversation with itself. distraughtplant
